Props to Deadspin
The popular sports blog Deadspin discovered StopShuler.com today, so a lot of you probably just discovered us as well. Welcome.
One thing we noticed from our referrers — did the Hotline do something about the site? We’re not important enough to have a subscription, so we would appreciate it if one of our Hill colleagues could drop us an email or a comment letting us know what they said.
One thing we want to reiterate — this has nothing to do with politics. This is about football, and the city of Washington. If he was running for governor, we wouldn’t care — he wouldn’t be coming back to DC. We dread the day we’re pounding a few at the Hawk & Dove and we run into him. We’d really prefer he stays where he is.

Hotline last call did a bit on you guys. Hilarious.
“One thing we want to reiterate — this has nothing to do with politics”
That’s the biggest pile of BS that I’ve ever heard.
I think you need to get out more — I know we see bigger piles of BS every day. However, you have a point that this does have something to do with politics, after all it is about a Congressional candidate. The more appropriate statement would be, “Our opposition to Shuler have nothing to do with HIS politics.”
I hope this helps.
Pretty funny! As for Shuler’s politics, I’m concerned much less about them than those of the incumbent he’s running against. As much as I can tell that you don’t want to see the Heathster in DC, *I* don’t want to see Charlie Taylor sent back to Congress. Maybe we can convince Shuler after he wins that he needs to spend LOTS of time in his district talking to his constituents.
Hello? Dummy??
I’m not an idiot.
This is a very clever effort by Republicans to create negative press for Shuler.
Please – I’ve been in the blog business for 5 years. Any one who isn’t a retard can see through this.
Fortunately, most reporters also can see through this.
Anyway – have a good time with your silly little site. I’m sure it won’t have any impact whatsoever.
It’s not that I don’t agree about the Skins’ problems, but Shuler hasn’t been under center for nearly a decade years.
If the Skins have problems–which they do–I think you’d do a hell of a lot more to publicize them by hosting a site called “StopSnyder.com”
Two points.
1)We’re a little disappointed that people would think we’re some Republican tool. I doubt the Republicans will be big fans of us, as we call their candidate a crook. We just want people to vote for the crook, not Shuler.
2)This isn’t about the Skins current issues, is about a traumatizing issue in the past. We’ll talk about Snyder more as time comes, but by bringing back Gibbs and letting him run the team, we don’t really have much of an argument with him at this point.
Thanks for posting!
